Guide to Training Standards
Training is not the most favourable job in SWAT, but we all have to start from somewhere. Everyone begins their journey in SWAT in their own way and everyone needs to be trained on the relevant skills for their division.
How to Train
There are two ways to train: copy and pasting a script and mentoring.
Copy and pasting a script: This is the easiest method to use. Simply load the relevant script, highlight each line and copy and paste it into the Habbo Chat box.
Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V for laptops/ Desktops
Command + shift + number 3 for Mac Books
Or Download a relevant copying and pasting tool from the internet.
Mentoring: Compared to copy and pasting a script, this is the hardest method of training but the most effective. When mentoring someone it takes time and effort in order to make sure they know and understand what they are doing, plus you give them feedback on what they are doing wrong (rather than admitting a punishment because they have done something wrong). This feedback can be used to improve their skills for the future. Mentoring has proven more successful than copying a script and it helps teach things that are not included in a script.

Training new members
New agents are the hardest as they vary in experience. Some agents have worked in another agency before and thus know a few commands and rules already. Sadly Habbo makes us all look the same and hides our true identity. We cannot define their age through a pixel avatar, and as trainers we need to be cautious. By reading what they are typing (mainly by the question asking sections) try to determine their age and experience and adapt your training to them. If you have someone who is younger or is a slower, copy and paste at a slower rate and/or explain things in more detail.

(Please note: there are new training scripts coming soon)
Training Security
Training security is as easy. All the trainer has to do is explain what button goes where, what to look out for and how to check profiles and tags etc. If in doubt about a tag ask a HR+. They should have picked up the skills during their standard division however cover BUM checking and teach them how to check badge join dates. That is useful against trolls. Feel free to test the skills of the security agent after you have trained them, but not to the point where you are not doing your own job yourself.
We do have a script for training security however it is not compulsory for it to be used. This is just a guide to make sure you cover everything when training a new security agent.
Promotion tags: habboswat.com/index.php?/topic/64-promotion-tags-latest-updated/
What to cover when training security (like a tick list)
- Tiles: what each colour does and where it sends people
- Check everyones BUMP (Badge Uniform Motto Profile)
- Tell them to inform the person what is wrong before they kick
- 3 people in Security at one time
- Checking logs and promotion tags (tell them to ask a HR if unsure)
- Introduce them to the forum - wear the forum badge rather than saying the URL
- Watch how well they work - don't give them the next rank until they are ready
Training Trainers
This is the easiest training of all the divisions. When training a new trainer ask them if they have access to the forum before you proceed. Tell them where to find the script (refer to this post or the actual scripts themselves). Then ask them if they know how to copy and paste onto Habbo. If not teach them, and when ready ask them to copy and paste the first line. Also explain to them that some parts are not to be copied and pasted and bits need to be changed (example. “I am (your name here) and I will be your trainer today”). Once that is done, make sure they have their promotion tag (which must be 2-4 characters in length) and supervise them training.
They must train at least 3 times to be promoted to Trainer I, however just because they have trained 3 times doesn’t mean they are ready for their next rank. Use your judgement.
